To
begin chatting, click the 'Enter Chatroom' button below.
Once the chatroom has loaded, (which may take several minutes
at busy times), click the button 'Load Chat Client'.
This will allow you to take advantage of all the chat facilities.
If you have an old browser you should select the 'Light Chat'
option. This will allow you to join the chat room but with limited
functionality. |

Wait
for the Conference Room page to appear which will say
'You have joined WeddingGuide' (ignore the first page |

You
have now accessed the chat room. Before you begin, enter a 'Nickname'.
when your nickname has been accepted you'll see it appear in
the user box along with the name of anyone else who is in the
chat room at that time. |

To
begin chatting, type your message in the box where you can see
a flashing cursor. Hit your return key and your message will
then appear in the chat window against your name and will be
visible to everyone in the chat room. |

This is where the fun begins - Unlike our previous chatroom,
you can customise your chat with colour, graphics, sounds and
actions.
You can decide how your message is going
to look before you start typing. Simply select the style and
colour of the text from the palette on the left of the dialogue
box. You can choose from bold, italic, underlined or reverse
type and you can also choose your own colour from the colour
palette. After making you selction, type your message, press
return and your message will appear in your chosen colour
and type
To personalise your nickname, go to the
'Commands' menu and select 'Avatar Panel'. Choose
an image you like, click and that image will appear in the
'User Box' next to your nickname.
If you want an image to appear along with
your message, select 'Image Panel' from the Commands
menu. You can do this either before or after you begin typing.
Select an image and it will appear along with your text after
you hit return.
Performing actions such as laughing out
loud or dancing in the middle of the room can liven up even
the dullest conversation! Make your choice from the drop down
Actions menu - There is no need to press return - and
the whole room will know what you're doing!
If you really want to catch someone's attention
the Sounds menu will provide you with a selection of
sound effects which will be both seen and heard by everyone
in the room! Why not experiment and see what happens?

When
you have finished chatting, click on the [Log off!] button,
otherwise the system will not know that you've left!. If you
are new to Wedding Talk or are experiencing problems
connecting, please read our FAQs page. |

If
you find there is no one in the chat room when you connect,
hang around for at least 10 minutes to see if anyone drops in.
Alternatively, come back 'on the hour' when people often logon
for a chat. In particular, the times of 3pm, 5pm, 7pm and 9pm
seem more popular and late at night.
